Re: wiring for a vtec light (crazieaccord)
I have not done it but I asume you tap the vtec silinoid wire from the ecu... then simply add a light and wire/ ground it.
Sorry if you looking for something more in detail... maybe someone else will input.

Re: wiring for a vtec light (Accord94DX)
No gains, simply cosmetic to see when your vtec kicks in. Unfortunately, mine always shows ~2500 rpm and i dont think that is right. Tap into the single green/yellow wire that runs from the vtec solenoid to the ecu with one of the leads from a 12v led and ground the other lead. Not that cool, and I don't think it's accurate.

Re: wiring for a vtec light (lahight)
(a little off topic, but.....)
I have a VAFC installed and it show VTEC is ON when it hits 2500rpm...
In another thread, someone has mention that there are 2 stages of VTEC.

VTEC is always on
the best way to wire one up, would be to tap into the vtec solenoid wire closer to the ecu and go to the + terminal of a low current 12V light, then just ground the light.

Re: wiring for a vtec light (crazieaccord)
it's a no brainer job...
12v bulb (like your corner signal bulb),
any electrical wires from an auto parts store
quick split from any auto parts store:
soldering iron, solder from radio shack and electrical tape
solder the wires to the bulb... positive and negative wire
install the light where ever you want
splice the positive wire to the vtec wire right by the ECU using the quick split (green/yellow wire) like lahight said
ground the negative
and you're done...
i use it to see when it actually activated...

thank you very much accord freak..it sounds easy enough.
Can you wire it to one of the lights on the dash...like the little seat belt guy or something like that?
