Default No Oil Pressure

hello there and thank you -- i just have a quick question for everyone? after a long time of not havin all the money and bs, i got my motor built and installed in my hatch. i went to do the new engine brake-in, hooked-up my oil pressure gauge, and with no spark plugs, i cranked her over. come to find out that i have no oil pressure! i installed a new type r oil pump that i bought from the dealership, along with new ACL bearings i got from Earl. i was wondering if there is anything else i could do or check before i start taking things apart?? i don't see why a brand new oil pump wouldn't work? if anyone could help me out in anyway that would be sweet!!! thanks

does the motor crank over by hand.

take the spark plugs out and take a 19mm and turn the crank pulley bolt counter clockwise (same way the motor turns) and if it keeps turning and turning, its not the oil pump. If it get stuck it is.

check the oil in your car. did you put some in?

Brand New parts can be bad. wouldn't be the first and won't be the last time that happens!

you should get some oil pressure when you try to crank the motor. check the oil pickup tube to see if there is anything blocking it
