So I was driving, the engine started to make this nose like a ticking sound..The harder I rev, the harder and louder the noise got...I pulled into a gas station and found out there was no oil in the motor (wierd because I has an oil change done not too long ago) I put oil into the motor...Turned the car on, let it idle for a while...What happened? The frakin noise was still there...I took my chances and started driving home from work. I was driving and the next thing you know is I hear a loud "Click" in the motor and the car shut off

I tried starting it and nothing.....anyone got an idea what happened?
blown motor, spun rod bearing etc??? HELP!

Timing was off if that helps...

 

If it was starved of oil you probably have a spun rod bearing, amid possible other damage. Did the wheels lock up when the motor shut off? If it did, it's probably seized due to the lack of oil and damage incurred from running it in that condition.

 

wheels didnt lock, just the motor locked up...tried starting it, no crank...i forgot to mention that it is a mazda mx6 v6...

OK, so will the engine turn over at all? If not, sounds like you have seized something in there, most likely the crank. It may can be reworked, but I'd start searching for a replacement engine as it will likely be cheaper (if you can do it yourself and avoid labor charges).
