Any known problems with Hondata? 4B If you have one and a B17A please help!!
Specifically the 4B on a B17A engine.
Sometimes the check engine light comes on and stays on. and the interface box says it is a bad program. but if you let the car sit all night then it will work.
Some things that seem to be related to the problem: 1.temperature. how that would affect it i dont know but it seems to be related.
2. When the checke engine light stays on and the interface box flashs as if it hasa a bad program there is a very faint buzzing like noise that is constant. At first we thought it was fuel but it remains contstant when the ignition is on and the fuel pump goes through its priming cycle. The buzzing sounds like it is coming from the firewall right behind the intake manifold. (92 Integra GS-R) it is very hard to pinpoint but there are fuel lines nearby and the whole intake system. It is definitely NOT the ABS. However since it is hard to pinpoint it could really be anything in the general area behind the intake.

Sorry, I have no Hondata - but one question:
Why for the B17A? Did you swap your motor for a B17A? WHY? Or do u have another car? Asking for a friend?

O, aight that's cool.
Hey, how is the B17A? Is it as torqueless as the B16A? Man, I'm seriously considering the DA GSR (92 or 93). Can u tell me what u like/dislike about the car? Thanks a lot!

Well he basically doesnt like how it only runs intermittenly but that is mostly because of the Hondata problem 
I have never driven a B16A powered car so i wouldn't know how to compare. Personally i think the B18C in my car feels torqueless compared to some of the cars i have driven. But it still is fast!
