H22 CX hatch almost on the road!
though ive only posted a handful of times, and i doubt anyone knows me, ive almost finished with the swap. right now i am trying to find out why i am throwing a CYP code, and i am trying to find my IAB box or something.. i cant figure out where all the IAB stuff is. im thinking maybe it wasnt on the motor when i got it.
regardless, just wanted to say that almost every problem i came across, i found the answer/solution to on here. all it takes is some searching, especially of the archives.
huge kudos to newman, poison, jason kidd, and turbogixxer.

cyp code. i had that once.. it turns out that my 2 cyp wires were crossed. u might wanna try switching them/ reset ur ecu, and see if the code comes up again. easiest way to check that.

Thanks.
For the CYP. That is the cylinder position sensor in your distributor. I would check wiring if you did any wiring on the distributor. If that is bad, then I would rebuild the distributor if you have any 92+ distributor laying around to salvage from, or I would replace the distributor.
For the IAB's, that is a black box which is located underneath your intake manifold with a few vacuum lines attached to it.
HTH.

thanks poison, i hope it is the wiring on the CYP. as for the IAB, both me and my friend have looked all over the manifold and body, top and bottom, and we cant find it. so im probably going to have to buy one.
i did read a post from a long time ago where you said you just hooked a vacuum line from your IAB umm .. the round plate looking thing, to the throttle body and made the secondaries vacuum-activated basically. i may end up doing that until i get the IAB box. what exactly is the box im missing? its not the "valve" is it?
oh, a little off that subject but does anyone reading here happen to know if an exhaust from a 92-95 coupe will fit a 92-95 hatch pretty easily? im sure we'll have to cut some off near the downpipe, but does the rest line up? it looks like it to me, and if it works, i can score a greddy sp exhaust

Nope, it doesn't fit w/o some modification. It'll fit, but it'll need to be trimmed down like you stated.
For the IAB's, I've been running the vacuum line to the I/M directly w/o the IAB valve for about 2 years now and has been runnin great. No issues at all and has great torque and HP response.

thanks brandon. okay ive got question after question here at the end doing troubleshooting
any chance you have a picture of all the vaccuum lines on the h22? the motor i got had alot of the lines cut and i cant figure alot of them out. i have a chiltons and it only shows so many.
where do i need to pin the IACV out as well? i took a random two-prong plug from another harness and am trying to wire it up. i am using a cx harness too, which i think i shouldnt have done.
