Keyless entry problem...
I noticed recently that after I arm/disarm my aftermarket alarm, the driver's side lock won't lock or unlock. It also won't let me lock/unlock my drivers side door with the door open, but I believe that's normal. Once I close the door, I can manually lock the door outside with the key. When I have my car turned on, it lets me manually lock/unlock my driver's side lock, but if I use the switch it only locks/unlocks my passenger side lock. This is on a 2000 Honda Civic Si. Any ideas what the problem could be?

they're factory since it an Si. the driver's side door lock acuator is shot most likely. does it lock when you hit the power switch from inside, when the door is closed?

Okay I took a closer look when I would try power switch to lock/unlock. At first it looks like the lock is trying to lock, but it doesn't go far enough to lock/unlock completely. If I keep on trying, it won't budge at all. It's usually only on the first initial try that it will move a little but not completely lock/unlock.
i bought a 95 civic off a guy that has a viper alarm with also power doorlocks.
is the viper alarm factory.. becuase i saw the same one in a couple other hondas/acuras.. and was j.w...
also my doors dont lock unlock with the button but the alarm still activates?

Yeah, alarm still activates. Could it maybe be because my battery could be low? I haven't changed since I bought the car used, which was September of 2002.

If when you hit either the power lock/unlock switch on the door or on the remote and the passenger ddor is the only one that locks/unlock then more than likely you have a bad actuator in your driver's door....
I'm only quessing, but I wanna say that most Honda civic coupe actuators should be the same .. 2000 -- find a junk yard save a dollar
