problem with locks
I have an aftermarket alarm with keyless entry. I have noticed that when i set the alarm and the doors are supposed to lock, the drivers side doesnt. When i am inside the car and i use the switch to try and lock the doors, they wont lock(they will unlock though). If i manually flip the lock it does lock but only with the door closed, with the door opened i cant get it to lock.
All that might sound confusing lol. Basically my aftermarket alarm wont lock the driver side door and i cant lock it manually with the door opened, so i have no way to get it locked. What could be causing this?

My friends integra had the same problem, so we took off the panel and sprayed wd40 on the locks. Now its working just fine.

Oh ok so that must be why i can manually lock it with the door closed, and not with it opened. I will lube up the lock and see it that will allow me the lock it with the switch and alarm. Thanks for the help
possibly a faulty l/front door lock actuator. Pull the l/front door panel, look for the 2pin connector going to the actuator. Unplug the connector, use a test light, backprobe one of the wires on the door harness connector side, try to lock the door with the power door lock master switch, if the test light lights up, then the actuator is bad. (try backprobing each wire, one is for lock and the other is for unlock.)
