alright, simple setup, d15b7 in a 91 STD hatch.

Its boosted, i just got the car completed, first ive tried to start it.

i have spark, fuel, timing is dead on, and i pulled the upper IC pipe off to get better air to TB.

Car just cranks and cranks, and wants to fire, but doesnt. I pull the plugs and there is no fuel on them..

so, i pulled the fuel rail with injectors in them all hooked up, injectors spraying nicely, all 4 of them, all 4 plugs have spark.

NO CODES at all.

Yet the damn thing will not start.

Any help?

maybe check all you ground wires

 

Check your spark plug wires and make sure they are in the right order.

Make sure your distributor is wired correctly. check again.

 

ive went as far as pulling the harness, not once, but twice, checked every ground, 20 times, literally, im clueless, ive been over every inch of this car from the fuel pump forward, and there is nothing, not one thing out of place.

 

is the crank timing on with the head timing?

 

checked thermostat ground? thats the dizzy's ground I believe.

 

alrighty, ive done everything, i pulled the fuel rail off, with injectors in it, to see if there firing, and the spit one shot, and stop..any clues now?

 

get a multi meter and out the psotive end on a 12 volt power source, then put the negative lead on the block. what voltage are you getting normally and what voltage are you getting while the car is cranking.

 

check your distributor you could have a bad coil or some bad internal parts just had same problem with friends b16 swap it crancked but no start had bad coil.

 

dist. was never touched and ran the car less than 2 months ago, ill try the volt meter, if i can find a hot in the engine bay

 

do you hear the fuel pump priming?

 

yup

rewiring now..
