There are tons of people on this board using them..........just PM people and ask them how they like it.

But from what I have read, they are wells worth the money. They are cheap yet constructed well, and yield high efficiency.

anyone want to chime in and give first hand experience???

Jon

the size is inefficient though...its too long and too short (not tall )

still better than nothing for cheap though...

im running one and i love it , it works great. i know this because i grab my intercooler pipe from the turbo to the intercooler and its warm or hot after i beat the **** out of it , then i grab the pipe from the intercooler to the charge pipe and its freezing cold , no bullshit .

how much power do you plan on running , ive heard they are only good to like 300whp , maybe not that much.....

after it the pipes are 94..
trhu the intercooler i can easy tell a 25 deg drop.... but of course this is the outer intercooler surface and not nthe inside

I have one too and notice the hot/cold side thing as well. Dont know how much that actually that affect IATs tho.

I do have a strong suspicion (sp?) that there is a rather significant pressure drop however...maybe 1-2 psi. Nothing to back that up tho...just intuition.

So far it works for me...but I'm hovering around the 200 whp mark...

well eventually i would like to make it to the 300whp mark.... but with my inital set up im aiming for at least 200. Guess it should work fine for those numbers. Anyone else know of some good quality intercoolers that dont cost an arm and a leg?

for 200 bux it will last you a while till you get to 300 doesnt sound to be in the next year and to me 200 for a years worth of good use isnt bad not to mention you can sell it on here for no less than 100 bux if you dont beat it up then you had yourself a good ic for a year for 100 bux cant go wrong with that in my mind !!

I have one, I haven't put it on yet, but the fitment in an EK bumper is choice (NO cutting) and I was amazed at how well it looked for $200 bucks! And yes the 6" is good to 300-350hp.

i have one works good no leaks yet, only problem is fins are kinda weak but i just put a front grill on the bumper everything is good. for 200 bucks is the best bang for the buck intercooler, and if your planning around 200 maybe 250whp this ic is way more than enough.

I'm rockin the 6"....fits the front mouth perfect. I noticed how the intercooler was much cooler tb side than turbo side

I used one on a prelude set-up. I tuned the car with no front bumper or hood and after some heavy street tuning I was shocked to see how warm the intercooler and piping to tb was.

Personally, I don't think to highly about these intercoolers.

They are made from Ford Powerstroke intercoolers, which are one of the cheaper types to begin with. Check out speedpartsrus.com for nicer, but still affordable intercoolers.
