Default Intercooler question

im building a turbo motor with basically all high quality parts and was wandering what kind of things i can go the cheaper route with to take a way some of the blow of the rest of the setup.

question is is the intercooler something i can not spend to much money on and still be safe?

You can get a nice garrett core for your setup that isn't very expensive and will serve you well.
