Im wanting to do an ultra low buck turbo project on an old car I have. I am trying to find a cheap core to make the intercooler. I am interested in a 24x6 size core but everything I usually use around the shop is Garrett, which is very nice but out of my price range.

I know there are cheap cores out there, hell there are guys on ebay selling complete assemblies in this size for $175, but all I need is the core.

Anyone have any sources for something like this?

 

just get a JRC for 200 shipped.

I would but the application cannot use end tanks with the inlet/outlets facing away from each other. It has to be a one off build.

Anyone else have any other ideas?

 

if there isnt room enough to run a pipe back over, try a powerstroke or other diesel core from a yard. Or try speedpartsrus.com for a custom ic, they are cheap and make good products
