stereo problem. possibly bad grouding?

Default stereo problem. possibly bad grouding?

sup guys. my car speakers make a VERY annoying whistling sound due to the sound system. im not sure what this is but im thinking its bad grounding. has anyone ever had this problem / does anyone know how to fix this? it stays constant when the car is turned on but gets louder as i accelerate. help me!

bad ground in you amp system be one for starters.
is the amp wire running seperate from the rca cables
pull car speakers to see if they are grounded
last but not least what kind of amp???

yea you are experiencing noise in your speakers. you probably ran your power cable right next to your RCA cables, instead of down opposite sides of the car. my friends car does this, and it even changes pitch depending on throttle position..

If the RCA cables are cheap, they might also have this problem if they are anywhere near another cable that carries a signal. Try to use high quality RCA cables that are the correct length, and like he said keep them away from your amp power cable.

yeah check ur grounds on ur speakers and head unit a weak ground can cause that prob, make sure ur power wire and rca wires r not pinched and grounded out, and yeah if u r runnin big enuff power wire run it away from ur rca's, or else u get interference

yea thanks guys. i think my RCA cables are cheap.. like swap meet **** or sumthing.. but it came with the car.. im gonna get some monster cables over the weekend... and possibily 2 12 inch infiniti perfect subwoofers . thanks for your help guys.

if you still have issues, run a ground wire back to the amp (no smaller than 8 or 10 gauge), and also run a wire from the amp ground to the deck.
