Default Humming sound!

Hey I'm new with audio and I want to know how to fix a huge humming sound coming from my left rear speaker. I know there is something loose but I cant ping point where it is. It sometimes goes away and after a while it comes back. I checked my grounds and they seem fine and secure. What I haven't checked are my RCA cables. I want to know what is the problem

Are your RCA and power wire run near each other?

do you have amps in your car? Make sure RCA cables are correctly installed on amp and head unit and are not run near power cables. Also could be broken RCA cables. I had humming once and found that an RCA cable going to my amp had a wire inside that was not grounded correctly and I had to re-solder it and problem fixed. Does the humming change its pitch when engine revs?

The filter in you amp might be going out if you have ran the wires next to one another for years and it started now the make inline rca filters not expensive and worth a shot.

Try swapping left to right RCA's and see if it swaps sides. Do you have outboard passive crossovers? The choke[coil] for the mid base-woofer can pick up large AC magnetic fields and make noise even with system off. If so try moving it. Had that happen with an Audi once.

If swapping RCA's don't work try swapping speakers L-R. If it swaps to other channel your amp might be going bad.

Speaker voice coil might be shorting to the speaker frame and grounding. That should send the amp into protection mode if it's any good.

Best advice^^^ swap RCAs to narrow down the problem.

Start by switching the RCAs at the amp, if the "humming" stays on the same speaker the problem is the amp, if it moves to the other speaker, problem is before the amp, [RCA cables or HU].

If hum moves switch the RCAs on amp back and switch the RCAs on the HU, if hum stays on the same speaker problem is the RCA, [on that side] if it moves, the problem is in the HU. 94
