Re: amp keeps going on and off (mrdeadman)
maybe it's overheating and shutting off. where is the amp located and what kind of amp is it? does it only happen when you turn up your music loud or on a hot day... be more specific

loose remote turn-on??
loose power line??
loose ground??
--------
power too close to rcas/speaker will make noise not turn the amp on/off
--------
also give us FULL specs of what ur running...
Head Make&Model
Amp M&M
Wire sizes, power/ground/speaker
rcas: custom or off-the-shelf
---------
to do ur own diagonistics.. get a digital mulitmeter to test all ur wires :-)
they run u about 20 bucks for a decent one that does the job well.. 10bucks will get you a POS...
unless ur lucky and sears have their $20 DMM on sale for 10.99.. but that was a few months ago...

umm it a 300 watt amp. it was working a while ago. then i started up my car to go somewhere and it wasnt working right. it kept on going on and off.. you couldnt really hear the music cause of the amp going on and off.. its under the passanger side[QUOTE=bpr0422]loose remote turn-on??
i checked the ground and grounded somewhere different. and i reconnected the power and remote turn on and it was still doing the problem...

If a speaker causes a short, the amp sees that short and will go into "protection". That feature is there to protect the amp, rather than having it burn up...
