I'm looking into buying an EG Civic Hatchback, but am unsure of which trim level would best suit me. I would like it to be Black on black, with ac, ps doesn't matter and manual tranny. I play on putting an engine into it. I also would like one without the side moldings. Which is the best model for me?

 

Black on black should be almost any except some have grey interior....PS i'm pretty sure only comes on like the dx or si automatic ones(not sure bout the si but i know the auto. dx does)...they all have side moldings but i know the cx just has indented side moldings not like the rubber ones that stick out...I'm not to familiar with the hatchbacks so someone else can correct me if I'm wrong

 

You probably want to go with either a VX or a SI, but good luck finding a SI. The Si comes with rear disc brakes, ac, power door locks, power windows, power steering, vtec engine, sunroof, etc. Good luck as I am trying to get into an EG as well.

only the si comes with rear breaks and the si does not come with power windows. you are prolly wanting a vx or cx those r the lightest of the EG series......Hope to be of some help.

 

Well if you wanna be black on black, your gonna have to look for an Si model only. Si's only come in black - no other US EG hatchbacks come in black.

And, only Si' have rear disc brakes - CX,VX,DX do not have rr discs - Although you can add rear disc brakes by swapping over 94+ Integra rear trailing arms + all brake components, i suggest you go with a 94+ Integra master cylinder & booster for even better braking power.

Si is the heaviest of all EG hatchbacks. CX,VX, DX models are fairly close in weight with each other if you take out the engines. 92-93 CX & VX are rated at the lightest, 2109lbs I believe, and both do not have door moldings. Si+DX's are the models with moldings.
