Default 2 annoying problems

first off my crx has this crazy idle problem. some times it idles at 1k and then drops to 500 and then back up. And when i put it in nuetral coming to a stop it gets stuck a 2k rpms and then i tap the gas and it goes back down. Help me im slow.

the second problem is when im inching forward or coming to a stop it makes this weird rotating noise. like something is spinning and scraping. Def not the brakes. Somebody told me it might be the axel or ball bearing.

Any help would be cool.

Clean the idle air control valve. Check throttle cable.
Bleed air from cooling system.
Check these things and you should find the problem.
I had an issue like this today.

Not a bad first post for a noobie

only problem is im not sure what to look for on the throttle cable. It seems like it might be a tad loose at worst.

and i have no idea how to bleed the cooling system. Is there any special cleaner i should use on the iac

you want to make sure the throttle isn't sticking. Air intake cleaner does the trick.
the cable starts at gas pedal and ends at throttle body. Easy to trace. Just make sure it all moves freely.

To bleed cooling system
With motor cold, remove radiator cap, turn on heater and fan on the highest speed.
Let engine run for a while and verify that there are no air bubbles coming out of radiator.
This is known to make your idle bug out.

hey thanks alot.

while we are on the topic of turning the heater on, its not really a problem but ever since i bought the car from the guy i havent been able to move the temp ****. I took off the *** and tried to move it with some pliers, but still nothing.

so i constantly have hot air blowing out all the time. and its definetly to hot for that in virginia. Plus i would like to know if my ac works. the light turns on but i cant tell because i cant turn the damn ****.
