Default any ideas ?

hey im new to the import hybrid engine scene. i have a 1992 honda civic CX (hatch) with a d15b7 i think. anyway, i have power nothing, bone stock but i wanna start a project. i need cheap power (doesn't everyone), would getting a LS engine be cheaper and better than a d16z6 ? or should i just save up and get the 2nd gen. B16A2 with lsd, or should i do some crazy thing like B18/B20 bottom and try to find a b18/b16Vtec Head ? The last thing i had in mind was keeping my engine and turboing it. The weird thing is everyone says i have 70 hp but i have the 1992 service manual (helm) and i only see a 100 hp engine which is the d15b7, is the 70hp at the wheels ? or do i have a engine thats not included in the service manual and the book helps me with nothing with the engine work.

thanks for all the help.

well if money is the problem, go wiht the d16z and if u were thinking of going turbo, go d16z turbo, you should be able to find a d16z for around 600-800,

If you are going turbo and limit in budget, go D16Z6 turbo. Another good alternative is the LS turbo...but it'll cost more of course.

d16z6 i got one with 60,000 miles including everything for 150 bucs but average is around 400 - 800 dollars with decent miles

good luck!
