Default building an engine

ok lets say i get the helms manual and put together a whole engine. and it was put together the right way. what troubles would i come across down the road ?

how would i register it? would it be cheaper than buying a whole swap ? how hard would it be for someone who knows the basics, and follows ood instructions?

im asking this cuz , duh, the idea has been running through my head. but i dont have the dough to pay for the whole thing now, so i was maybe hoping on slowly building one myself. what do you guys think?

are you trying to just rebuild the engine in your car,or trying to build an engine that you plan on swapping into your car?If you have a helms than thats all you should need to learn how to rebuild it.And if its done the right way, there shouldnt be any problems youd run into down the road.

lets say this when u give the vin # that tells everything about the car each number means something. the helms book is great i got one. if u can read u can do it i did it. here is my .02 buy the helms study it until u know it with out looking in the book and get the haynes for quick reference. if you don't have tool u r going to send a lot on tools renting them etc. it is easy man u can do it. the wiring is so simple it will pretty much lay where it goes when u put it back in.
go for it

I think it would cost more to rebuild an engine than to just drop a complete swap in. But if you rebuild it right it should last a lot longer than some unknown mileage engine you just drop into your car. By doing basically everything the correct way on my car it cost me alot more than just dropping a swap in.
