what size turbo is this?
i dunno if i have enough information for yall.. but here goes.. sorry no pix either.
its off of a ford f250 , year is 2000 up. i looked at it and only thing i recognized on it was its made by Garrett and it said .58 (i gess this is the trim?) but can anyone tell me if this is like a t3? t4? or what?
i may be able to pick this up for pretty cheap, because it does not work anymore, i have no idea why its out of commission either...
is it worth it to rebuild turbos?
tia.

look at the turbine....and see if the downpipe mounting side has the typical "5 bolt" pattern (T3)...if not..its more than likely to be a T4 instead of a T3

Just because its a diesel turbo doesn't mean its only going to work at low rpm.

Don't some diesel turbos lack compressor side oil seals? If so, something else to worry about there.
