Default Where to start on stripping motor...

Hey all, I've just acquired a B18A motor/trans/ecu/etc., which I plan on building up and boosting in my crx that is currently D16Z6 powered. Where should I start on this block/head? I've done lots of motor swaps and external mods, but this will be my first true block buildup. I plan on having it bored to 2.0L, but is there anything that I need to treat with special care or keep in certain orders when I start tearing everything down?

Thanks in advance!

yeah, i know it's not going to be cheap, but I'm going to just do it real slow and take my time. I just want to make sure I do it right. How much of an overbore is a 2.0L? I didn't think it would be that much that it would need new sleeves.

over boring a cylinder makes the walls thinner which makes them weaker. Sleeving it using better materials will hold up to boost better.

I wouldnt bore it at all if u plan on turboing it. just up the psi by 2 to compensate

I would highly recommend getting a Helms manual. You can either buy the actual book ( http://www.helminc.com ) or sometimes you can find them in pdf format. I see you have a b18a. I have that manual in pdf. IM me if you want, I dont want to post a link to it in a public forum.

I believe in order to make a b18a/b/c into a 2.0 liter, it needs to be bored to about 84mm. You'd need to sleeve it to go that big.

There's a few things that need to have the bolts taken off in a sequence in order to prevent warpage (like the cylinder head, flywheel, etc). You'll find that info in the helms I gave you the link to.
