Default At what point to I need to have my block sleeved? (ls\vtec)

OK, I want to start building my motor soon. I am trying to figure out what exactly I am going to do. Do I NEED to resleeve my block? Will the stock sleeves hold up on a 200-250 hp. motor? Obviously I don't want to do this cheap, and I want to do it right, but since money does not grow on trees I have a budget.
Thanks
-Will

turbo??...all motor??? i'm asumming turbo since half the poeple of this board think a 200+whp all motor car is a needle in a haystack....if your going to build it...do it right from the begining....try to cancel out as many variables/weak points as you can.

No, I actually wanted to go All motor. I am about to start building the bottom end, and wanted to know if I had to sleeve it or not. Thanks guys.

if you are sticking with stock bore and not that high of compression, the stock sleeves are good enough. of course as an all motor fan, you would want more HP and the way to do that is to overbore, which will require sleeving.

so it all depends on the level you want to take your engine at? just an 81mm 12:1 compression block or do a 84mm 12-13:1 block.
