oil restrictor--where do I get one?
to go on the oil feed on the inlet of the turbo. I am trying to lower the flow into the turbo since the hondas go up to 80 psi and the turbo needs only about 50. I am trying to avoid anything that will allow the oil to backup into the turbo and not drain properly into the oil pan. I want to ensure anything that will avoid my turbo seal leaking again is avoided once it is rebuilt
maybe its just me... but an oil restrictor is prolly the worst idea i have heard for a line that small... sounds like a death-trap to me for the turbo
tell me more. Is the small line enough of a restriction then to keep flow low enough? if so, I won't bother. I just don't want my turbo to leak after I get it rebuilt and reinstalled again.

if you push the same amount of a fluid into a smaller area you increase the speed or pressure. If you allow it to go into a larger area the speed and pressure drops.
same theory applies to exhausts btw

ok. lets be specific about turbos. If you take a -4AN (i think that is what comes in most turbo kits) and run it to the turbo inlet, is this too high a pressure/flow for most turbos to handle without being able to empty into the oil pan fast enough?
what you really need is some sort of pressure REGULATOR inline, that would be the proper way, a restrictor will reduce flow which isnt quite what you want.
u dont need anything! thousands of turbo honda's are running around without a problem just running a -4 line... just leave it at that...
basically im saying not to make a big issue over something that i wouldnt even consider an issue
