Default Oil and carbon deposits inside IM and TB

What would that tell you? After taking off my head, IM and TB, its literally like wet soot inside my IM and BEHIND the TB butterfly, NOT in front of it. The fact that is behind it makes me wonder. On the air intake side of the TB its pretty damn clean so I dont think its a result of the crank case vent. I had recently replaced the crank case vent hose with a breather filter anyway. My car USED TO burn a lot of oil before it blew up. Do you think it could have been clean and only happened as my motor blew up?

1) because Im happily taken. this board used to be very fast no matter what day or time. you could aways get an answer or atleast a response. oh well.
2) because what marc said
3) no I didnt have a catch can set up.

like seriously its rediculously oily and smudgey. that would definitely explain the shitty HP numbers, black smoke from the exhaust under WOT, and oil burning so much. Just not sure what caused it. I was guessing PCV valve as well since that was the only other real option, but I dont know much about that valve and how it works.

The PCV dumps directly inot the manifold, it greatly increases chances of detonation if it is not functioning correctly since it is venting oil into the cyninders via the IM. Oil fumes light off very quickly which , yes, could have been part of your HP # problems. A catch can would intercept the fumes and 'catch' all the oil which was once making into your intake tract. If your car was running, you can use Sea Foam cleaner and spray it into the throttle body opening to clean all that **** out. Makes a smoke screen your neibors won't believe, but cleans the intake tract out nicely.

It's normal that it's behind the TB, but it shouldn't be too much. On the intake side it should be clean.
