OH SNAP ! seafoam in crank case!!!
so i accidentally put like 1/8th of a bottle of seafoam into my crank case....dont ask me why and how, very complicated (have an automatic "seafoam dispenser rigged to my IM") Well i just changed my oil today using the most expensive crap out there with a very expensive oil filter. Can i still run it like this for 3k miles? its 10w30 so it wont thin it out that much will it? help!

I doubt anything would happen, however... It's much cheaper to change your oil again than to replace a blown motor. Your choice.

Re: (EG type GTR)
1. Your supposed to put Seafoam in your gas tank/ oil filler and through the brake line connected to your IM
2. Seafoam is a good cleaner it breaks **** down. It will break down your oil.
3. Go get a new expensive filter/oil and do it right.

I have a catch can with seafoam inside of it, and i accidentally tipped it to where the seafoam got sucked into the crank case. The custom made catch can connects from the intake arm, to the valve cover. I put seafoam inside the catch can to break down oil deposits. Well while the car was running, i tiped the catch can and a few Table spoons of seafoam got sucked, Back into the crank case.... shoot.
It really wasnt that much at all, i still have to change it?

Hey if you really dont want to change your oil then dont do it. Its your car and your choice, no ones goign to stick a gun to your head and tell you to change your oil. But let me tell you what Seafoam does, it thins out oil. So while your driving with it in (if its enough to see it go in then its enough) its thinning out your oil more and more and sooner or later itll pass through the rings and causes problems down the line with your walls, rings, pistons. Depending on the motor could cause problems with main/rod bearings. But dont worry if you dont want to change your oil you dont have to.

i guess your right, i just needed some mroe insight on it.....i just thought it would thin it out a small bit... 3 table spoons cant see how that would be alot. but if it really does constantly thin the oil out, untill its water like, then snap ill change it again next week.

I find it entertaining that people put the most expensive stuff they can find on there little econoboxes thinking it will make a difference. These cars aren't high performance machines no matter how many times the owners manual says it. Go get a BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari, Zonda, or the like and then you can put the expensive stuff in your car.

seafoam is like 8oz right?
an eighth is like an ouce...i would think that would make a difference.
we use it through vaccum lines and let in sit in our cylinders and we change it after cause sometimes its seaps pasts the rings into the crankcase.
so its up to you.

1.) just because your girlfriend takes off her clothes for strange men every night doesn't make her a stripper.
2.) you're a dumbass.
