Default floating valves?? pics

i noticed this when changing my oil. i took the oil cap off and looked in and noticed scratches right down in there in the head. i'm not to familiar with internal work, i haven't really ventured down that road yet.

what could these scratches mean? (4 pics)

i believe they are just castings from when the head was made or what not

They are normal, every R head I have dealt with has had those scratches on them.

what they said, or kinda looks like it could be scratches from when someone was trying to do a valve adjustment(s). definitely not the result of floating valves.

Exactly.

Nothing to be concerned about at all - they're completely normal.
