Default remote on / stereo problem

Ok, I have searched and searched, but no luck.

Ok, here is what i have done so far

I am adding an amplifier + subs to my stock system. I have already ran the power and ground cables, installed remote power from under thesteering column, and installed a line level to RCA converter on the speaker outs.

After the install everything seemed to work perfect, the remote on works when you turn the key off, but not when you turn the radio off, not a big deal.

I thought this would be ok, until I turned the radio off and the Subs just went crazy, BLLLLLAAAAAABBBPBPBPBBBBAAAAH ( continuous loud bass ast full blast ) So i turned the radio back on and it was ok.

If i unplug the line converter, so there is no signal going to the amp and turn off the radio, It doesn’t make any noise at all.

I can’t figure out what else to do, besides never turn the radio off which will mean my amp will always be draining the battery.

*Cliff notes

stock radio, added amp + subs = loud noise when radio is turned off.
Need help to fix problem

Question's

Does anyone have any idea what is causing the problem?

Would running the converter from a different location change anything?

Does anyone know where else to look for information on this?

thanks

most power antenna's i've seen only come up when you're listening to the radio so your amp would only come on when you select tuner.

Just pick up a switch to put on the remote turn on lead and mount it on your dash so you can turn the amp off when you want.

btw, fcm, click here.
