Default deck shuts off?

when i play music quietly or loud, my deck shuts off for 1 second once in a while. im thinking its the shut-off when you turn it too loud with to avoid blowing the amp, but it does it when its half volume or even quieter. i was thinking can it be my negative terminal on my battery loose? my terminal does move around b/c it never tightened back like before when i messed with it but i've done as much as i can to keep it as connected as possible, b/c before my car would die out if the negative was to loose, now it isn't. any suggestions to wat it can be or what i can do to figure out why my sony deck suddenly shuts off 1 a while?

The deck shuts off, or the output is muted ?
