Default Sirius static after amp install

Hey all,
I have an 01 Civic(es1) and i have a plug and play Sirius radio kit installed. A couple of weeks ago i installed my amp and sub and now whenever my bass hits through the sub I get a lot of static through my speakers.
The problem goes away completely when I turn the gain all the way down for the amp. But then I am left with zero bass. I have tried switching fm channels but that doesnt seem to help at all.
The funny thing is that when i listen to regular fm radio stations(non-Sirius) or cd's there is no static at all when the bass hits.
Also I can turn the bass down on my head unit down and the static gets less and less the lower the bass level is. But that defeats the purpose of having a sub in the first place.
I am thinking it may have something to do with when the bass hits, it is stealing power from the same 12 volt source that the Sirius radio is using and causing static to come through. But the music is still playing just fine though, there is just static over the bass line.
If anyone has any ideas on what is going on, I would love to hear them.
Thanks

How did you run your power wire for your amp? Were are the rca's ran (how). Where is the sirius getting its power from? Is it hardwired or are u using the cig socket? And last is there a sirius direct fm mod installed as well?

Power wire is ran along the passenger side door sills to the trunk. Rcas are only ran in the trunk, due to me having a stock (oem) cd player. I used a high level converter that was included with my amp that tapped into the back 2 speakers. The sirius radio is plugged into the cig lighter hole. And no, there is not a sirius direct fm mod, I am using the built in fm transmitter. But if you know of somewhere i can get a FM mod for it on the cheap, let me know. Thanks.
