So my car was in the shop for about three weeks having my turbo installed, and when he wrapped it up he turned it over and oil came out of the DP. We thought the turbo seals were bad but it had zero shaft play when it was purchased. We called some Honda and Acura techs who suggested the rings were bad. We pulled the plugs and EGT sensor which is in the turbo manifold and they both had oil on them. We then checked the charge pipes and they were clean. So is it my rings? I am going to go buy a compression tester tommorrow and go check for sure, but I want to see what you all have to say.

 

how was the car before you started to put the turbocharger on it???

Thats the odd part, it ran fine, and pulled decent for what it is. I even ran past a friend on the interstate and he said it smoked, but only alittle.

oil blowing past the seals.. my best is the feed line is too big of a diameter or the drain line is insufficient.

 

But the turbo had zero shaft play, and the charge pipes are clean. The feed is about the width of a pen and the drain is about an inch thick. The oil feed/return kit was purchased from people who make them, so I doubt thats the problem.
