Burning Oil
Hey whats up guys. I have recently turboed my Gsr and have noticed that blue smoke comes out of my exhaust when i shift. The turbo that i am using i rebuilt because it had bad seals. My questions is since i am not 100% sure if its my piston rings or the turbo seals again. Is there a way i can check if its my turbo burning the oil or if its my rings. What would u guys do?
i havent checked the plugs in a while...so i dont even know. Last time i looked at them they looked like they had a decent amout of carbon build up. Can a bad return line cause oil to be pushed through the turbine? I have done a compression test tho. And the numbers came out consistent on all cylinders. Also i am not using any kind of a restricter for the oil feed. Should i be?
sorry i dont have any pics available right now. No after market breather. I was thinking that can be causing the issue as well. I have disconnected the PCV hose from the intake manifold but now the pcv is just sitting in my breather box. The turbo is a bushing turbo. Im not exactly sure on the size of the feed i had ordered it from stealthmodeperformace. My return does not have any kinks in it. However when i drilled the oil pan. To me it seemed like the the fitting that i put into the oil pan seemed to be angled more to the bottom and could be causing a restriction?
