Alright heres the deal. I have an ls/vtec. just had it professionaly rebuilt. I installed it. Im getting fuel, fuel pressure, oil and oil pressure. But it wont start. Only cranks. I pulled the plugs, they are covered in fuel. I checked the spark. Its only getting spark on #1 and its a very erratic spark. It has a new coil,rotor,cap,plugs,and wires. All the 3 engine grounds are good. Is there a special procedure to reinstalling the dizzy on a new motor?(ie; alignment etc). I need to get this thing started soon. Also i have gotten a few nice backfires out of it. P28 w/ hondata S200. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It could be a faulty Igniter, It has happened to me before and it was the igniter..... Its like 60 bucks from the dealer. Also, check to make sure you put the distributer back in the slot the right way... It should only fit in smoothly one way... If it goes in both ways take the cap off and put the motor to TDC and check to see if the rotor is at #1 .... If it isn't, take your distributer off and replace it so that it is at #1... Well, Who tuned your hondata? Check your perameters for the ignition tables.

 

It could be your Coil too. check that.
