Clciking noise when decelerating... more details inside.
Well i feel like **** right now cuz i think i messed my car up tonight. u know the feeling when something bad happened to your car but u dont know what it is. anyways i just got back from the track tonight. First time at the track and i think i did ok for a first timer. r/t was at around .200 consistently, could do better if i practiced more lowest i got tonight was .153. anyways i had my tire pressure set at 22 psi and i was still loosing traction from start and when shifting to second and third gear. But on to the bad news. Well i have this weird clicking noise coming from the front end of the car. when i hit the brakes your can hear itjust slightly though. Its not that loud but it almost sound like a metal to metal contact but dont know what it is. i hope it nothing to serious maybe the the brakes or axles? But anyways also when i was in the track in like 3rd gear i can feel the front end of the car the wheels shift side to side dont know if that has anything to do with what happened to the car but i just like to get an opinion from any1 to what the problem maybe b4 i take it to the dealer tomorrow to have it checked. Im just hoping its nothing to serious.
first thought when hearing a clicking sound coming from the front when you drive (turn/accelerate/stop) would be the axles. Try making a tight turn while accelerating slowly one way then the other way, if you hear it click, it's probably one of the axles.
car doesnt make a clicking sound when turning only when im driving forward at a slow rate slow enough so that u can hear the clicking noise and when im decelerating or depressing the brake pedal.

One of my "new" remanufactured axles made an intermittent clicking sound while driving straight. Turns out the outer joint had almost 1/4" of in-out play (only the inner joint is supposed to move in/out, NOT the outer joint).

clicking while turning is outer joint of an axle. vibrating while driving strait, accelerating or decelerating is inner joint of axle. sounds like something as simple as debree or glaze build up on the rotor making a click noise as you get on the brakes lightly or maybe there something on the pad. is it only when you press the brakes? cause obviously if its when you press the brakes its a brakes problem
i dont think its just a break problem because when i do drive or accelerate to about 20mph i can hear the clicking noise to. so im beginning to think it might actually be the axle. but im not for sure yet.
