well, i'm thinking about doing motor swap by myself, and i have few questions here hmotorsonline told me that everything woluld be basically drop-in except i gotta modify wire harnesses.. what exactly am i looking at here?... can someone explain more details?.. and are there any other things i should look at??..
people who have done gsr swap to civic (96-00) any advise?...

u may have to extend the some of the existing sensors(MAP/IAT/TPS)..if they dont reach properly..if they are kinda tight extend them instead of having them hanging on for dear life....( this all depending on what model u have)(DX usually requires a little)EX should be fine..if it wasnt already vtec add ..vtec, vtec oil press...., knock (if EX already has a knock) and the IAB selonoid(if u are running the gsr intake mani) and if it is dx u are gonna have to REpin your IAT to a 2 wire (DX is 3 wire).......remember when i say "what model" your using i mean what model wiring harness...........hope that helps..

your job should be alot easier then..good luck

 

You may also need to extend the primary O2 sensor. I'm not sure though. I had to on mine, but I have a DX harness.
