Default about to buy my swap, just a few final questions

alright so the days untill i get my swap are less then 20. NOW...i know i want a B16 for price, parts, and reliability reasons. (LS/VTEC is NOT an option)

hmotorsonline.com has the best price for a full swap that i have seen, but they only have 1992-1995 B16's are those ODB 2? or will i have to convert my 99 dx from OBD 2a to OBD 1?

now the JDM engine has 170hp, and the USDM has 160. will it be any harder to install the JDM engine in my car compared to the USDM?

http://hmotorsonline.com/shop/...30005

thats all the questions i got for now

the 92-95 is obd1

the engines are the exact same except the JDM has higher comp pistons, a diff ECU and a speed limiter set at like 117 or something like that

i think that's right

buy a conversion harness if they sell them, if not go to jdmshit.com and buy one from them. other than that, wire in vtec to the shock tower, run the knock sensor, and drop it in and ur good to go. be sure u save enough (about1k extra or a bit less) to do the things u hafta do for the warranty, and do a clutch (mines toast). i ordered the same exact thing from steve @ hmotorsonline.com, very happy with it, although i have a leaky headgasket after driving it for 1k. not their fault though, so im happy.

yea i was going to get an ITR clutch from len, and then do the waterpump and timing belt.

Then replace the radiator hoses just as a precaution.

will my radiator be fine? (from my DX)

if you want the swap to be legal and less of a headache get the same year motor or newer then your car, if i were you id look into getting a usdm 99-00 si swap, then you will know exact mileage, and it should be basically plug and play, any wiring questions you have just read this page
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=558245

that should help you the most, also any 92-95 swap you will have to get 99-00 si mounts for the rear trans and upper drivers side, i believe the rest will work

you can ask them if they have any obd2 b16a. I've orded my engine from them and they have more than just whats on the web site. they tend to only addvertize items that they have good quanaties(sp?) of, so they won't worry about selling out.

Try JHPUSA.com

I think the "JDM B16A 92-95 SIR2 Engine Swap" is on sale for like $ 1,999.99 no axles.

Also by the way, they're a great shop.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by FifthGearOnline &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"> anyone </TD></TR></TABLE>

The length is going to be different from the D to B. I am not sure the exact specs, but search on here and I am sure this has been covered. Good luck on the swap and feel free to post any other questions you might have, better safe then sorry.

Ohh and if you dont mind me asking, with 10,000+ posts, where did you spend most of your time? Not to offend you and I hope I dont, but these are fairly simple answers, so I am confused with so many posts as to why you dont already know them? Again just curious.

Good Luck again
