i was thinking about saving up and getting a new motor from this site and i was wondering how to specify whether u want a jdm or a usdm engine and if you get jdm is it gonna be more than the price on there? also if i were to get one of these swaps for my 98 civic ex exactly what would i need in terms of other parts to buy to do the swap? probably stupid questions, but i don't care. I'd appreciate any help. thanx.

JDm or USDM almost the same price.

Since you are in VA, you might want to give a call to http://www.importautosalvage.com. Also http://www.osakajdmmotors.com has the best prices right now....

Once you get the engine, it would be a good idea to change/inspect

waterpump, timing belt
headgasket
misc. o-rings
oil-pump
oilpan/valvecover/sparkplug gaskets
clutch/lightened flywheel
refreshened tranny (checked bearings, etc...)
new fuel filter
flush motor oil, coolant, clutch systems

Rear Tranny mount from the 99-00 Si: 56827-S04-N10 $28.86

Driver side mount bracket from the 99-00 Si: 11910-P30-000 $40.12

96 del Sol AC bracket: 38930-P54-000 $94.82 ( only if you want to keep your ac)

it sais that i would need these parts to install it. do these parts come with the engine swap from osaka jdm motors or will i still need to buy these seperate?

You will need to buy them.

One more thing: Osaka is like th enew kid on the block. Only a few people have bought from them on this board but with these prices, this will possibly change....

Osaka will not give you the shift linkage unless youa re getting the ITR motor.... ( I think, call them to make sure)

Are you going to be doind the swap yourself? Aso what motor are you lookimg at?

i don't think i would do the swap myself and i am looking at either the B18c1 or a B16a2 for my car.
