need help badly oil pressure sending unit
when i was outting the oil feed line in for my turbo setup i broke the oil pressure sending unit. what do i do now? its not like the parts store is goin to have one. can i go with out it for now?
Umm, actually the parts store probably does have it. I live in redneckville Kentucky and they had one in stock just 2 days ago when I replaced mine (b16a model). Mine was like $8, and I know you can get one from the dealer for less than $15.
you don't have to put it back in. i didn't put the sending unit back in mine, there are no codes associated with it or problems, to my knowledge. i've never had any. and i have an emanage if you need any help, though i don't have any pics.
Problem is, is if the light comes on, you're probably already screwed. An oil pressure gauge is much more beneficial than the dummy light.

Can you guys stop arguing about dummy light vs. oil gauge? This post was originally from June I don't know why it was brought back

I was 1.5 quarts low on oil yesterday, and my oil pressure gauge would dip real low every time I touched the brakes. The oil pressure dummy light never came on.
Get the sender anyway, you don't keep your eyes pegged to your oil pressure gauge under braking or cornering, do you?
