Default Need serious HELP for friend's Civic Hatch

He got a hatch with a 94 LS swap and have some major problems. It overheats like a motherfu*ker and it sucks up the coolant like no other. Today, we were wondering why it sounded so bad and found out there's no coolant. We bought some, poured it in, and drove off. Checked it again acouple miles later and the coolant is all gone again. There's no leaks because we checked and no coolant hits the ground. Is there an explanation what it could be? He has a 92 CX with a LS swap, stock except an intake on it.

It's really annoying because on the temp gauge, it's all the way on HOT and doesn't go down. The dude told me something about obd2 ain't compatible with obd1 or some **** but I don't remember. Can any of you guys tell me what to check and what to do to fix it?

pretty sure its the head gasket.

check the oil......is it watery?
check the oil cap....is there white stuff under the cap?
is there white smoke coming from the exhuast?

if its not dripping anywhere, there's pretty much no where else for the coolant to go besides in the head and out the exhuast. the temp should and the significant loss of coolant should tell you right away that the headgasket is bad. i wouldn't drive the car anymore until its changed out.

White smoke definitely comes out the exhaust when he steps on the gas. But the thing is, it has the stock civic radiator in the hatch, shouldn't he need an Integra radiator to cool the engine?

I take it your trying to avoid the answer.. if you are loosing coolant and there is no leaks.. do the math.. its getting burned.. so you have a blown headgasket..

So NO putting a TEG radiator will not help it. and FYI there are alot of people running stock EG radiators with B series motors.

its the HEAD GASKET!

its not the radiator. i have been using the stock eg radiator with all my integra motors. i've been superchaged and turbocharged with my ls motors and have had no overheating problems due ot the radiator. i now have a gsr with nitrous and have no problems using my stock eg raditor.

change the head gasket. its a lot of work, but it needs to be done before you mess things up even more. you could warp the head or something if you/he keeps driving it.

park it before things get worst

OH and BTW since you ran out of fluid. your head is warped for sure. so you will need to send it to a machine shop to get fixed.. and DONT drive it or fire it up anymore untill you get it fixed

It seems like he seems to think this is the worst problem..... that damn annoying temperature gauge just wont stop reading all the way hot when theres no coolant in the engine!
