overheating issue maybe???
I'm borrowing my friends log in for this:
um...i would like to know if anyone came upon this problem. well, my car over heats a lot. there's no leak, but it loses coolent in a couple of days. does anyone know what the problem is? i haven`t tried anything yet to try and solve it. all i do is refill the coolent. btw, my car is a '93 4door civic d15 motor. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

fill your car up with coolant and run it. after you've ran if for a while get out and see if your leaking coolant. If you dont see any check your resivor its probably full. If you cant see anything leaking and your loosing coolant its proabably leaking from the head gasket and burning up before it hits the ground. I've had this problem before and it was a blown head gasket. hope that helps.

If your losing coolant, you've got a leak. An easy way, that I've found to see if your head gasket is leaking, is to pull out your oil dip stick and see if the stick is milky (like their is water in with your oil), or see if your exhaust gases are coming out as unusual colors (White, blueish). A way to check if your leaking externally is to look for spray patterns...around your radiator, water pump, hoses etc... Good luck.

i would check the head gasket. do you have any white smoke coming from the exhaust? check your oil, maybe even change it, and see if it is a milky brownish....

i would bet it's the head gasket- of course, this is just a guess.
let us know if you're getting smoke anywhere...particularly white smoke from the exhaust. <- this is a good indication of a blown head gasket and the blown head gasket would also explain your overheating problems.
