My R is going into acura tomorrow, but I would like to know some ideas on what the problem is before, since my R is the only one they work on.. It is leaking in 2 spots... Sorry Willard for stealing e.bay pic, first one that came up in search, gf took digi cam with her tonight..

I have two circles around leaking areas..
I have 88,000 k's so its still under warranty, and I have had it in since 25,000k's for oil consumption problems, dipstick tube has been replaced 2 times, and I have to put 1 qrt in every other day, they say this is normal with vtec????

the lower spot between the head and the block on the front corner is a common place for B18's to leak. After I rebuilt my motor it leaked from there and so did my roomates.
1 qt every other day? It's leaking pretty badly then, changing the valve cover gasket is super simple, you might want to do that yourself.

if it's leaking on the Vtec Selonoid side of the block then its probably the cam plug or the selonoid seal itself, which if you car is under warranty I guess have them fixed at Acura otherwise I have a cam plug I could sell you for $10(alumnium and it has 2 rubber seals on it to stop oil from leaking). From the two black lines (should have used white) it looks thats whats your problem, but I had a cam plug leak on my 95 GSR (hence the aluminum cam plug, but totalled before I could put it on) but it only really leaked when I was in high rpms like VTEC. If your engine is cosuming that much oil then you might look into getting that engine rebuilt if the fixing of the cam plug, selonoid seal, etc. Dealerships might try and bullsh*t you on that becuase you engine is a VTEC engine it's going to burn some oil, yeah that's true but if you're not rompin on it a lot and you still burn lots of oil then that's a sign for a engine rebuild. Dealerships know that they will giving up a lot of money having it fixed under warranty, so get the plugs fixed and if it's still eating oil like it is going out of style then, you better push that dealership into rebuild mode....
