My friend has a 1999 Integra with a JDM B16 Supercharged in it. There is a small leak from the head gasket just above the motor code area. Also in the rear of the block below the supercharger there is also a small leak. There is also leaks from the valve cover and supposedly according to the mechanics here at Honda, the cam seals are also leaking. I called up Jackson Racing, asked them if a loss in about 2lbs of boost would be caused by the head gasket leaks, they said no, there is a good chance the rings are fried. The car is driven hard almost on a daily basis. Should he go ahead and have the head gasket changed out for an aftermarket one, and have all the other gaskets replaced also? The car is right here at my shop and I need to know ASAP!!!!

 

Are you sure the headgasket is the source of the oil leak and not just the valve cover gasket and cam seals? Once the oil comes down the head, it puddles in the seam at the headgasket.

 

I understand that, but a tech cleaned the area the oil was puddled at on the bloock and after a few miles of hard boost the oil came back!

 

check the vtec solenoid.

also check dizzy o-ring if ur gonna check other places

 

do a leakdown to see the rings condition.
