Default best way to get out f22 motor and trans? top or bottom,

which way is the easiest? what do you need to do to get it out the top? its pretty wide in the compartment. maybe lift the motor end up high and take it out on an angle? its a 91 accord.

when i took out the motor it would have been easier to drop it out from underneath, but it wasnt too dificult to pull it out from the top, just do it at an angle like you said... and dont do it by yourself, make sure you have someone making sure everything is clear when your pulling it out.

Mine came out the top no problem. Didn't even have to unhook any A/C lines - just moved em out of the way. I had my radiator out cause it broke on us, but you could probably get it out with it in.

I haven't dropped one through the bottom but it looks easier and from what people say it is easier. But not evryone has the resources to remove the motor from the bottom so they use a hoist and remove it from the top. I've removed my motor from the top twice now and you just have to tilt the motor backward to allow the trans to clear. It deffinately makes it easier to have another person giuding you to make sure your clear.

Mine came out the top. Pretty easy. I pulled the radiator and just moved the accessories out of the way.

Also, if you don't have help, no big deal. I pulled mine out by myself. One more thing, I disconnected the front crossmember and remove the torsion bars and crossmember. It gave me a lot more maneuvering room.
