Icon2 Which would be easier? Swap or replace bottom?

Hey I got an Eg, and it has a blown bearing (d15). I was wondering should I just swap the whole motor for a lightly used one or should I just replace the bottom end?

how much does that motor mean to you? how many miles are on it? is the price of the fix more than the price of a swap? what are your future plans with that car?

just my $.02

im sure you could find a used motor for under $500, or just can that motor and get the other one running. sounds like a pretty cool project.

Yeah the car is really rusted out on the interior( which I repaired) and the undercarriage is rusted, the engine bay is fine... Im just trying to put a motor in it til get some money to really get down on the undercarriage(lol) then when I get all that right I'll drop some money for a GOOD swap.

i think its easier to swap in an engine then rebuilding it, just because rebilding it, you have to really pay attention to every little details you do.
