LSD question
choices are quaife, and kaaz. There is also the phantom grip, aka phantom slip.
kaaz is a clutch style that requires occassional rebuilds, whereas the quaife is a gear diff, shouldn't require any additional servicing once installed.

There is also the OEM lsd from the civic vti-r which is basically a z6 tranny + lsd.

thanks man but about the install is that a pro only job. i know that there are no"user serviceable parts" of a Honda trans but you can at least see this one with the axles out
You can install them yourself, but you should know how to work on tranny's. Its not for the faint at heart do-it-yourself mechanic. You will have to reshim the diff and check for the proper clearances.
I have a Kaaz LSD in my civic and love it. Although, considering you are supposed to change the fluid every 5000-6000 miles, and at $45 a can, I'd go with the Quaife instead. Although, it depends on your application, since lots of road racers use the Kaaz.
