h22a can be a pain in the... yeah
Yeah... I was checking out hasport for engine mounts and raxles but then I got pissed. All the parts go up to 01... what about the 02+ civics. I'm running an 03 and can't find the right axles or mounts. Any ideas? 127 hp is not enough for me ;\ Thanks in advance. later
Aren't the k20s super expensive? I'm only 19 and poor. With a loan I think I could pull off this h22a swap. Just curious why none of the parts fit damn it. And where to get ones that do
Oh, and it's a 03 civic
Oh, and it's a 03 civic
an h22 in a 03 civic is gonna cost more than a K. i dont think u understand the chassis difference, its not like dropping an h22 in a 92-00 civic. NO ONE (as far as i know) makes an H swap for 03 so ur gonna have to custom EVERYTHING. not worth it
This is gonna be a bitch then. I found ks for like 4-6 grand and that's just for the parts. The install will cost an arm and a leg too. Guess I'm stuck until they come out with something else ;\ Or how about this. Say I keep the stock engine. I get headers, exhaust, intake. That'll take it up a bit. What else could I upgrade on the engine to give more boost? Also, what about turbo and NOS. Would it just be a waste to throw this down on the stock engine... or what horsepower do you think I could pull off if I drop a decent amount into this? Thanks in advance.

An H22 will still be less. K20a cost 5500 dollars for the engine alone, not to mention gettin it put in and then any problems u run into. I say try the H22 swap. get your motor at hmotorsonline.com i got my H22 for $1950! good luck
Were you happy with the motor you got from there? Does seem pretty cheap. I wonder if any shops around here will tackle this install since it apparently isn't that easy on an 03 yet. heh, time to call around I guess.

With what mounts is he going to use to put the H22a in there? The motor is cheap but not the labor or fab to do it. If it was me, save for K-series.

I have ordered any swaps from steve with no prob that he did not fix. That price in just for the motor, trans and ECU. You need the cables and shifter and ehat not. The complete swap without LSD will be around $2300.

i agree
ya defiantly go with the k series your engine as it is has the intake out front and trying to switch everything around will just cause major headaches and you will want to throw that h22 out, svae for the k series and dont put anything into the stck engine and then sell it once its out i bet someone just crashed their 02-04 civic and needs an engine

Are the new sohc vtec civics that slow? Cus i beat the **** out of one with 5 people in my hatch! SOHC VS SOHC bwahaha plus 500 lbs extra in my car.
that make sence cause the new ones are extremely heavy i believe somewhere around 2700-2900 i think correct me if i am wrong so even with the 500 pounds extra yuor car (modded) will beat it just because of the weight
