There was an old Sport Compact Magazine where they installed a set of those on an eg hatch. They looked really good. My only concern would be if some idiot tried to rip these off of your grill to steal them.
i don't understand why anyone would want hid auxiliary lights over hid driving lights? anyone care to enlighten me?
imo, having two big square foglights is just that; square.

well, i drive an EG hatch, with HID in the stock headlights, light output is worse than with halogens. the only other option is to get projectors retrofitted with hid, but they attract too much negative attention from thieves. my car is going to stay stock on the outside, besides these foglights.
i figured with these foglights, I'd attract less attention, while getting the benefits of HID. I just need some opinions/reviews before I get them.

I'd probably mount them on the bumper support. Hopefully the brackets are strong enough to deter any thieves from ripping them off. I mounted some no name foglights on my grill before, but they would always shake because the plastic on the grill is not supportive enough.

compared to retrofitting projectors into your halogen headlamps (the ONLY way you'll get lighting even CLOSE to the quality of that system)
its easier to install

I know the pics are rather lame. Wish I'd spent more time on the write up but oh well, you get the idea.
I loved these fogs. Next to my suspension they were my favorite mod. The increased visibility is incredible. They put out literally as much light on the road as my headlights. The light also extended very far out to both sides of the road, making it quite easy to see if there were any deer waiting to leap out
If you have any more questions let me know, I'll be happy to answer them.

I'm sure you'll be happy with 'em. Just make sure to spend time aiming them correctly; it's not hard and the instructions are very detailed, but you certainly don't want these fogs pointing anywhere near a driver's line of sight
They're quite bright.

yeah with my other fog lights i went to a lot with a flat surface, drove out like 30-40 feet so that the lights pointed towards the wall and just made sure the foglights beam pattern were about 1 foot above the ground against the wall because I had the foglights mounted roughly 1 foot from the ground.. so you could say it was perpendicular or zero degrees horizontal to a level ground. only thing that sucked was that the foglihts i had didn't put out very good light.
i do a lot of driving in the desert back roads (to go fishing, camping, etc.), and hoping these x1010's will help a lot.
now i just have to decide if I want a motor first, or these lights.
