Default Sylvania Xenarc HID auxiliary light install (+ 8 pics...56k maybe)

I don't really know whether this should go here or Appearance...probably Appearance

B18C5-EH2: if this should be moved, please by all means do it. The EG+/Sol forum has all the pics posts it needs.

Those of you who read SCC regularly may have noticed that they used this same kit on their project Civic. I can't comment on the beam pattern yet, as I still have to aim the lights. But the quality that they referred to is there...the whole kit is very nicely done, right down to the nuts and bolts. It's all plug and play.

So, here we go...

The kit:

Bumper is removed:

Bracket is mounted to the bumper support, and the light is loosely mounted on the bracket:

You can see how the bumper blocks the light:

Ghetto bumper hack:

Ballasts mounted to bumper support:

Remote receiver mounted (between the ABS fuse box and the Icebox):

Finally, the beam. The lights haven't been aimed; this is just a basic picture of what the beam looks like. The lights are very blue when first turned on, but become much whiter when warmed up:

When I get them aimed and all that (hopefully tomorrow), I should have some better pics of the beam pattern and color.

Yes, more pics. Those HID's are like 5100k, right? The January edition of Sport Compact Car magazine has a good article on these auxilaries.
