I couldn't filter the search enough... so I resort to asking this one.

How much whp will an OEM GSR/ITR/B16 fuel pump support ?

Or if you have the formula or something...

Thanx

I've heard of people making 300whp on them. I wouldn't do it, i'd rather invest the $100 for the security.

Also, I would run a 440 or so injector.

just trying to figure it out... I am running a stock DX pump now and it needs to be replaced BAD.

I plan on making about ~200whp and about 50 more on spray (in the future)

So anyone else ? stock dohc vtec pump with 440 injectors... should I upgrade ?

I would just get a Walbro to be sure. You can get one for like $100. You will pay that and then some for a new OEM fuel pump

youd be lucky to get 250whp out of a stock pump without the help of an inline

If thats all your trying to do (save a few bucks) I wouldn't try saving there.
I've seen 300whp out of stock pumps (gs-r's running 550cc+ injectors) but if we're talking the difference between buying another stock pump and buying a walbro, spend the extra $40 and get a pump that you KNOW is going to flow more then enough.
buy a couple home depot rubber couplers instead of silicon couplers if your looking to save a few bucks.

Check out the chart at the bottom of this thread - the gsr pump is pretty sad. And so is skimping on $100 that could save your motor

Hmmm....

chart is good... thanks fo the info so far guys.

I plan to run stock fuel pressure prolly. I am n/a, but will add nitrous sometime in the future. Going to upgrade to 450 injectors soon if that makes a lick of difference.

So far it looks like a slightly used itr pump or the warlboro if I can swing the price.
