Default OEM & Walbro Fuel Pump Sock Difference?

I am currently having fuel issues & was wondering if a walbro & a oem fuel pump are able to accept the same sock??? I'm trying to figure this problem out without spending a lot of money until I figured out what my problem is... (old walbro decided to eat the sock up & fried my pump)

So now I have a OEM pump that I got for free & my friend has a walbro sock. Are they interchangable?

A lot of people upgrade to Walbro pumps because they offer higher flow rates....190 and 240lph, where are easily double that of the stock oem pump. If using a higher flow pump though, you will need some kind of adjustable fuel regulation so not to run rich.

The can be swapped back and forth though. The walbro pump will take some custom fitting with the bracket to make if fit 100%, as it's not oem

I'm really confused by your post. I'm looking to find out if there is a difference in the sock (filter that goes into the tank)

Can I put a walbro sock on a oem pump?

oh, sorry. it's early....though you were asking about pump swapping.

As far as the sock goes, i have no idea, but if you needed an oem sock, the dealer should be able to get one easily enough if needed
