How Do You Solder? thought I might as well learn
I actually found a working solder gun yesterday near my car.
It has a the gun that plugs into the wall and the tip get hot as hell and a flashlight type thing lights up when you pull the trigger.
Came with a little spool of wire, I tred doing it but I have no idea how to, as soon as I touch the metal onto the tip of the gun it just incinerates, have no idea how to put it on the wires.
Thanks

You need to put a little solder onto the tip. Then put the time onto the joint you are trying to solder. Let the joint heat up and then put some solder to the joint. I usually try to insert the solder close to the tip but not right at it unless I'm in a hurry.
First, you need to have the wires cleaned, twisted and ready to be soldered.
Then, make sure the tip of the solder gun is clean, you can heat it up and use a wet sponge or a wire brush to clean it.
After this, while the tip is still hot, apply a little bit of solder just enough to cover the tip.
Then, make contact with the wires to be soldered and let them get hot. When they're hot, apply the solder right in between the tip of the solder gun and the wires so you can melt it in a uniform way. Don't apply too much solder to the point it can drip or don't apply too little so it doesn't make a good contact.
When you are sure you have the right amount of solder, just remove the gun and let it cool down ( be careful and don't burn yourself) then, apply electrical tape. At least two layers to create a safe insulation. If you use shrink tubing, make sure to insert the tubing before you twist the wires, then slide them on and heat them up with a heat gun or a little torch. Generally, that's the way it is done.
Good luck in your proyect!

Well, Ive tried on just a bit of basic 16gauge speaker wire
I heat the speaker wire for maybe 5 seconds when the gun is red hot, hold the solder metal to the wire and move the gun and touch them both and try and run up and down the wire
But the **** just seems to evaporate or go into ***** cant get it to spread evenly

yeah it takes some practice and come patience but in my opinion its the best way of getting a good connection. i solder everything and have never had a problem with anything coming undone like some of my friends. Just keep practicing and you will get the hang of it
