I decided not to use the the wire connectors that came with my vafc and just soldiered them all. I put alot of soldier and it might be possible that the soldier got between the wires because I used alot, so the wires arent actually touching. Will soldier conduct electricity??? Sorry for the noob question but I gotta learn.
Thanks

yes it will conduct electricity. You shouldn't use more than you need. The correct way to solder is to twist the wires together and use the gun to heat up the wire then just touch the wire with the solder it will seep into the wires and will do all the work for you. Most people try to solder by heating the solder up then dripping it on the wires which is the wrong way. If the wires don't heat up then your solering iron is not a high enough wattage to do that gauge of wires. I have a 100 watt iron and it hasn't given me any problems. hope this helps

explanation to do a proper solder connection (may vary). Pull some chafing back so the wire shows then put something throw the wire so that you have a small hoop. Take the wire you want to connect to it and make it v shape. Put one end of the v on the inside of the hoop and the other side of the v on the outside of the hoop. twist the v together and then close hoop and twist the twisted v around the closed hoop. now solder it. electrical tape. zip tie. perfect connect for life yo
